Our Dog-Friendly Hotel Policy & Guidelines
We are delighted that you have chosen to bring along your furry friend(s) with you. As a dog-friendly hotel, we enjoy welcoming you and your dogs to The Villa Express. Please take a few moments to read through our policies and guidelines to ensure a happy stay for everyone.
– We have designated dog-friendly ground floor rooms. Please check when booking, that you have made reference to your dog(s), to ensure we allocate you the correct room.
– There will be a £15.00 charge per dog per night and we do ask that your dog is supervised at all times during your stay. (Standard rooms only).
– Two dogs are permitted per room, should you wish to bring more, this will need to be authorised by the management team.
– You must bring a bed/cage for them to sleep on/in.
– Please do not allow your dog(s) to climb on the furniture or beds, you will incur additional charges to your account should this happen. Also, there will be additional charges for your dog fouling in the bedroom.
– Please keep your dog(s) on a lead at all times.
– NB. Dog owners accept full responsibility and liability for any damage to property or persons injured by their dog.
Dangerous Dog Act 1991
Under the Dangerous Dog Act 1991, from December 31st 2023, the XL Bully breed is banned in England & Wales. Under the act, owners of this breed must apply for a Certificate of Exemption.
Owners must follow the requirements as set out below:
– Dog(s) must be neutered.
– Dog(s) must be microchipped.
– Dog(s) must be registered.
– The owner must have up to date third party public liability insurance for the dog(s)
– Dog(s) must be muzzled and on a lead at all times when in any public area within the hotel (including event spaces) and its grounds.
The Villa Express reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog not considered to be in compliance with the above rules. Where the Hotel permits entry to the XL Bully, evidence of the above criteria will be requested and must be made available prior to the date of the stay.
The Villa Express reserves the right to terminate the stay of any XL Bully owner not following the above requirements. Payments made for the reservation will be non-refundable.
